When I mentioned it to Gus, our new property manager, he immediately sent out a vendor to check into it which resulted in the hazardous trees being removed shortly after. Gus also communicated with us regarding each step of the process, which I definitely appreciated.

Instead of a deposit, you’ll simply give your landlord a billing authorization that allows them to bill you up to a limited amount for damages or missing rent that are your responsibility.
If your landlord does make a claim, you can pay the balance in installments using the payment method of your choice, instead of all at once.
If you think a claim is unreasonable, you can dispute just as you would under the traditional up-front security deposit system.

Important Information When Applying for a Rental

We conduct resident screenings for all applicants who are 18 years of age or older. Make sure each adult who will be living in the home fills out a separate application and pays the application fee.

When you fill out an application, we’ll check the following:

Credit history and outstanding debts, including eviction histories and unpaid bills owed to landlords, property managers, and apartment buildings.
Rental history, including landlord reference checks.
Employment history and salary verification.
Sexual offender websites.
Criminal backgrounds nationwide.
