If you qualify:
-You will NOT need to make a cash security deposit upfront on the property you rent through TrustHome Properties.
-Instead of a deposit, you’ll simply give your landlord a billing authorization that allows them to bill you up to a limited amount for damages or missing rent that are your responsibility.
-If your landlord does make a claim, you can pay the balance in installments using the payment method of your choice, instead of all at once.
-If you think a claim is unreasonable, you can dispute just as you would under the traditional up-front security deposit system.

Important Information When Applying for a Rental
We conduct resident screenings for all applicants who are 18 years of age or older. Make sure each adult who will be living in the home fills out a separate application and pays the application fee.
When you fill out an application, we’ll check the following:
- Credit history and outstanding debts, including eviction histories and unpaid bills owed to landlords, property managers, and apartment buildings.
- Rental history, including landlord reference checks.
- Employment history and salary verification.
- Sexual offender websites.
- Criminal backgrounds nationwide.
